Item with tracking code listed as delivered, but I have neither received it nor picked it up.
A few days ago I bought an item located in France; the item in question had a tracking code ( Lettre Suivie Internationale). He said he would ship it to me on June 17 and only after the delivery deadline had passed and I contacted him several times did he provide me with a shipping code that, according to its timeline, on the 25th the mail carrier left the slip in my mailbox and on the 28th it was collected. I'm blown away, to say the least. Today is Friday and Correos has summer hours, I can't go to the office until Monday. Asking around, who was it given to? That is, if he hasn't sent it to someone else, because now I believe everything. Because lately I don't know what's going on with sellers who ...
I just opened a claim with Ebay. What do you think will happen? I would be really annoyed if they sided with him when, if it wasn't due to some rather clever mail carrier, there is a bit of well-thought-out malice on the part of the aforementioned seller. Bad luck that I won the auction. And I bought it for the price it was.

OP2 years agoOf course he didn’t receive it. He sent it to Italy. And now he’s throwing Correos España under the bus.

Hello @dacuaes,
Thanks for your message.
On eBay, we have eBay's Customer Guarantee Protection to cover your purchase in situations like these, where you haven't received your item. I suggest you contact the seller directly in case the item has already been sent, but the tracking number hasn't been updated, as this does happen sometimes. If you don't get a response from the seller, it's important that you check the estimated delivery date on your transaction, because our guarantee protects you for up to 30 days after the estimated date.
Below I’ll tell you how to open the request yourself so you can start the process to ask for a refund and back our guarantee, if you're still within those 30 days. You can open the case here, this will alert the seller to start the refund process and the communication between the seller and you.
It's rare for sellers to ignore your help request, but if you don't get a response after a few days, you can request eBay's help if you go into the case from your account and click the option "Ask eBay for Help".
Best regards
Cinthia

OP2 years agoI’ve tried to the point of exhaustion to see if La Poste can tell me where the said shipment was going? Or who picked it up? But I’m not very good at French at all. And in the end, when the virtual assistant seemed to work and asked me for my postal code, the whole thing went south. Since it’s a Spanish postal code, it doesn’t recognize it. As I said. On Monday I have to go to the post office, no matter what. On top of that, I noticed one detail: if I had been left the pickup slip, I would have had at most 15 days. I’d be right at the limit. Although that’s not my problem, because it would be easy to solve. The problem is that the shipment appears as if someone had picked it up. They could have replied to me sooner, provided me with the tracking code after making the purchase and not many days after the delivery period ended and a couple of days after I had requested it. Then I would have already been “on it.” And instead, they tell me on a Friday afternoon in summer...
