Wrong item and eBay washes its hands of it, won’t refund
Good afternoon. These days I’ve found myself in a very uncomfortable situation after many years on eBay. I received the wrong product. The next day I opened a case on eBay, but the seller asked for time to sort it out with the shipping company. After the time passed, the shipping company tells me that the return has been processed, but that my shipment is being considered lost. I open a case for item not received, since that seemed like the most appropriate thing to do, and eBay rules in favor of the seller, arguing that I should have returned it, since it shows as delivered. They have dismissed the evidence I submitted, and I’m left with nothing, no item and no money. I appeal the decision, providing more evidence, and they uphold the decision. Do you think eBay’s attitude is fair, or would you try to do something else? Best regards

Hello @mondm,
Thank you for your message. I understand that the case has been closed because you did not return the item, this is because you opened a Return case and not an Item Not Received case. It is very important to open the case correctly so that we can help you.
In some cases, you can appeal the case only if you are within 30 days of the case being closed. I suggest you contact our Customer Service channels. The way it works is, you will have to go to our Help Pages and then select the topic of your inquiry, at the end of each page you will find a section that says Contact us, if you click on this section, you will find the option to call us, chat with us, send us an email, etc.
Another quick and free option you have to communicate with us is using our Social Media channels:
eBay Facebook Spain
eBay Twitter Spain
We will be happy to help you and I will be looking out for your message.
Best regards
Cinthia
