Article that cannot be exported....

Hi, a few weeks ago I bought on Ebay an item (an old Apple computer) in the USA, which included the customs duties and the total shipping once the payment was made. So far, so good. When it arrived after 2 weeks at Ebay's international shipping center, to my surprise the sale was canceled, telling me that the computer or product cannot be exported.... Paypal has refunded my money and there are no problems with that.

The thing is that I ask the seller what happened and he doesn't know the problem, but he still has the money, meaning the package has been left in limbo and I got my money back and the seller doesn't lose the money. Can anyone explain this?

I would like to know if there is any Ebay customer service phone number so I can see the error and if it is possible for them to return the package to the seller or buy it.

Thank you for your message. That’s correct, when our sellers use our service to send items internationally, we cover all services such as shipping, taxes, etc.

Both parties have been refunded because both are covered by our eBay Customer Protection guarantee. This is one of the many ways we protect our buyers and sellers.

The item could not be delivered because it was damaged in transit and shipping it in this condition is not safe. Especially when the batteries in electronic equipment are damaged, so it is likely that the item was destroyed and both were compensated for the loss.
