Chromecast without essential accessories

Good afternoon,

A week ago I bought a used Chromecast with Google TV HD on eBay. The description didn’t say anything, just that it was used, so I assumed the USB C cable and power adapter, which are essential for it to work, would be included. However, it wasn’t until I asked the seller about it (when there were 3 days left to receive it) that he confirmed the power adapter wasn’t included. I also asked about the cable, just in case that was the only thing missing, and it turns out that isn’t included either.

I understand that in this situation, taking into account that the new Chromecast comes with a USB C cable and power adapter and that it isn’t mentioned as missing in the description, I have the right to return the product and get a full refund, right? Because the eBay page doesn’t specify it, it only says that I can get a refund if the product does not match the description. It’s ridiculous because even in the photos of the Chromecast packaging in the seller’s listing, the device appears with the USB C cable, and these missing accessories are so expensive that I’d be spending the same amount as if I bought it new.

Thanks for your message. I understand it’s easy to assume that an item will be sold with all the accessories or connections, but since some of these items are second-hand/used, if they don’t mention in the description that the item comes with all accessories, you can assume that you will only receive the items that are in the description and in the photos.

That’s why we always ask our buyers that, if they have any questions, they contact the seller.
