Tax and tariff charges
Hi, can you advise me? I’ve already made several purchases on eBay. It turns out I just made a purchase (US $416), and I’m being charged Taxes (US $83), plus another similar charge for duties (US $68). The purchase is in Mexico, and the item is in the USA. I understand that taxes have to be paid, but it seems like way too much to me. If we add both together, it’s 37% of the product cost, plus shipping (US $36) TOTAL to pay (US $605) approx. On other occasions I have paid taxes, but not as much as now. Thanks, I hope someone can advise me on the issue.
