I’d like to confirm that your item has not been charged twice, and I’ll be happy to explain what’s happening. Normally, some banks place a temporary hold on funds when merchants first send the authorization request (when you make the payment on eBay and receive confirmation of your purchase), and the funds are also held in some cases when payment for the first authorization request is processed later.
If you haven’t received a purchase confirmation email, this confirms that your financial institution needs to process the payment (pre-authorization). Please note that in some cases it can even take a month to disappear from your account, but it will be removed from your bank statement without you having to take any action, since this is automatic.
In case the pre-authorization charge does not go away on its own, we suggest contacting your bank/financial institution so they can give you an estimated date for when that pre-authorization will be removed from your account.
Best regards,
Cinthia
