Pcp compressor
Hi, I’m sharing my buying experience, let’s see what you think.
I bought a high-pressure compressor (Pcp) on sale; it weighs about 20kg, and I received a 300-gram package containing an item I hadn’t ordered, worth a couple of euros.
When I contacted the seller, he told me it was obviously a mistake and not to worry, that they would sort things out with the warehouse.
Later they told me they weren’t going to send it because it was damaged. I asked how they still had 3 in stock as new, whether it could be another one, and they replied that there were none left, that it must have been an eBay error, they weren’t advertising that.
I asked if they could give me some kind of coupon so I could buy it again when it was available for the same sale price or wait for restocking, and all they kept saying over and over was that later I should buy it at full price, that if anything they’d make me an offer then.
I asked what the offer would be and they didn’t answer me.
Then they issued the refund three weeks later and they’re still selling the items.
I don’t think it’s fair to buy an item on sale and for the seller not to follow through on the agreed deal; it would be like if I bought something and then didn’t pay. I went more than 20 days without access to my money, and then the seller, who refused to send me the real item, just keeps selling the same thing спокойно at the original price, with no kind of sanction or negative feedback for breaching the sales contract on eBay. I think these situations damage the platform’s reputation, making buyers value other, more efficient marketplaces more highly.
In the end, if this kind of thing, which I don’t know whether happens on eBay more or less often, does happen and isn’t addressed or rules aren’t put in place, eBay will become an unreliable buying platform where you have no guarantee when purchasing a product, since you might receive a worthless item and then, after a month, if you’re lucky, get a refund.
I feel ripped off even though I’m finally waiting to receive the refund.
