German Identity Document
I'm trying to sell an item on eBay Spain. Neither my German ID number, nor my German passport number, nor my Spanish NIE will be accepted. It tells me that a valid number wasn't entered.
What can I enter?

Thanks for your message, I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble registering with your INE. I’d like you to try replacing the number 0 with the first letter of the NIE by following these steps:
- Choose Spain as nationality
- Enter your date of birth
- Enter the NIE with a zero at the beginning instead of the letter, and the normal letter at the end. Example Y1234567N and our system will accept it by entering "01234567N"
