eBay closed the case and I lost the watch and money
Hello, I bought a watch on eBay worth 600 Swiss dollars, it failed after a few days, I took it to an expert and it turned out to have an inexpensive oriental movement rebranded by the Gevril brand. Since I was out of the country, I made the return a few days after the deadline, eBay closed the case and the seller did not refund me and kept the watch, plus he does not answer my messages. What do I do? eBay has already abandoned me and handed over my money.

OP1 year agoI can't believe eBay is covering for him after there is evidence that he received the watch. I don't know where to turn, but I feel robbed by eBay and by the seller. Can someone help me??

Thank you for your message. I understand that you returned the watch after the deadline for you to send it had passed, which is why the case has been closed in favor of the seller.
When you open a return case, we let you know in the first message that you must return the item within the indicated time in order to receive a refund, and later, over the days, if no movement has been registered in the tracking number, we send you reminders that you must send the item.
Once the shipping deadline has passed, eBay assumes that you do not want to continue with the return, since you have not contacted us and have not sent the item, so eBay will close the case automatically.
I suggest looking for alternative ways outside of eBay to open a dispute and seek a refund, and in the future, I suggest that you contact us if it is not possible to send the item within the deadline.
