Ebay is irresponsible for keeping sellers who scam or deceive those of us who buy
I bought an item from a supposedly “professional” seller, and the device I bought ( Order No.: 25-12853-98053 ) cost me 329.99 Euros, and it was sold with the commitment of a TWO-year warranty. I bought it on March 25, 2025, and on June 20 the device stops working, and I write to the seller asking how to proceed so he can fix it. The seller replies that his technician "is on vacation for a little over 2 weeks, after that I’ll tell you how to proceed"... , and the two weeks pass and then a month and another month, and I send them several messages through the Ebay chat but he no longer replies to any of them. I’ve sent several messages again and they don’t pay any attention to me. I think this is unacceptable, AND WORST OF ALL I contact Ebay and since they don’t have an automated option (or I haven’t been able to find it) to report deceptive or fraudulent sellers, they don’t solve anything for me, and on top of that they keep letting this seller keep deceiving other buyers.
Please, does anyone know where I can go to REPORT these abusive practices, and in my view criminal ones, for not fulfilling what was agreed?

Hello @jumig-89
Thank you for your message. At eBay, we greatly value the protection of our users and we strive to ensure that transactions are carried out satisfactorily. However, because we are an online marketplace, we cannot physically inspect items. For this reason, our customer guarantee program does not include insurance or brand warranties for products, especially if they stop working after a while. Some sellers offer warranties, which are usually indicated in the listing description and may require an additional payment.
It is important to keep in mind that, on occasion, sellers may take time to respond due to a high volume of requests. We recommend trying to contact the seller again and we hope you receive a response. If the deadline to open a return request has passed (30 days after delivery) and the seller does not respond, we suggest contacting the manufacturer directly.
We suggest contacting the manufacturer directly since the item warranty may be covered by them directly.
We hope this information clarifies our position, as we strive to ensure that our users can buy and sell with confidence. If you need any further clarification, we are here to help.
Kind regards.
Cinthia
