eBay doesn't refund the money and won't listen to reason...
This is the first time I’ve had a problem... on Saturday, August 24, a Paack courier called me at the door of my workplace (closed on weekends), telling me that my workplace was closed. And I was like, well, of course. Come on Monday, because tomorrow, Sunday, it’ll still be closed... But then they go and, on Sunday, they deliver my package again. Incompetence on the part of the Saturday courier who didn’t notify the warehouse? Incompetence on the part of the warehouse manager for not paying attention to the courier? I don’t know, but someone messed up here, and it wasn’t me... Then Monday comes, and instead of trying to deliver the package again, when there wouldn’t have been any problem, some bright spark at Paack gets the idea of putting in the package tracking that my address was "incorrect". After moving heaven and earth to find information, I managed to locate the warehouse where my package was... but the following Thursday, I arrived late and my package was no longer there (they had kept it in the warehouse until Tuesday...). And from what I talked about with the people at the Paack warehouse, I understand they put incorrect address because my workplace has the address of a street with no number (s/n). In other words, people who work delivering packages think that s/n is incorrect... talk about a level, Maribel. But well, not everyone has to know basic things about the job they do... But that doesn’t mean I have to lose money, does it?
Time passes, the day comes when I can open the case claiming that my "item has not arrived", they make me wait 10 more days telling me that the seller (with whom I have no kind of problem) has provided "evidence" (who knows) that my item may still be on the way, and that we should wait those 10 more days... When it had already been 10-15 days since the package had been sent back to the seller... Those 10 more days pass, and eBay replies to the written case, telling me that since the transport company with its incompetent workers put "incorrect address", they are not refunding my money...
I try to get the person replying to me to see reason so that I can get a coherent answer, but there’s no way, it’s like talking to a wall. I explain to them: how can it be an incorrect address, if at the same address, in the last two weeks, I’ve received 8 eBay packages? And several of them delivered by the same Paack... And they reply, yes, but we only base ourselves on the tracking for the package you didn’t receive. There it says the address wasn’t correct... And round and round we go. Can someone give me a coherent answer as to why eBay digs in their heels about not admitting that the address was not incorrect, as an incompetent Paack worker put it, knowing, being certain, that having received 8 packages in two weeks at the same address means the supposedly incorrect one was xD? Well, yes, I already know the answer, because eBay doesn’t want to lose money. For that they hire the people who answer your requests and call you on the phone...
After 4-5 written exchanges, I tried talking to someone by phone. But they act the same as in writing, like a wall, they don’t understand anything you explain to them with evidence and logic... And that’s it, case closed and they won’t let me say anything else... Since they kept telling me that the evidence they have is the package tracking and there it says... incorrect address.... I had thought of submitting evidence, provided by eBay itself, of the 8 packages delivered to the same address they said was incorrect... but I suppose that won’t be possible... And that’s it, here we are spending effort and time fighting for what I think is fair... my money, because I neither have the package nor do they refund my money... and I believe, someone can correct me if that’s not the case, that I haven’t done anything wrong to have to lose the money...

Hello @isis67,
I understand that this experience has been frustrating. It is important that you know that eBay does not sell the items on the website; these are sold by users like you. This is important, since eBay never sees the items and for this reason, we must trust and we rely 100% on the information linked to the transaction.
When you give a delivery address, it must be accessible 24/7 and from what you mention in your message, your office closes on weekends and this is not an address that is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This is the reason why the carrier marked your item as incorrect address, because nobody could receive the item at this address. I suggest looking for other options outside of eBay to open a dispute and receive a refund, since on eBay, we cannot take any action.
Best regards
Cinthia

OP2 years agoHi Cinthia,
thanks for replying.
From the first paragraph... I already know that, I don't understand what that's about, I already know that a person sold it to me, but on this platform.
From your second paragraph.. Am I supposed to be 24/7 at the delivery address? In person? Can I go pee? Can I get sick and go to urgent care? It seems not... that I should have been standing guard in front of my closed office on a Sunday, after warning the courier on Saturday not to come on Sunday (to which he replied, yes yes, don't worry, we'll come back on Monday) so I wouldn't lose my package or my money... Bravo. Well done!!
So the courier is **bleep**, right? Because if he doesn't listen to me and puts that, it means he doesn't have two brain cells to rub together. Surely it's not his incompetence? If you say he's **bleep**... I'd bet on incompetence... but...
Yes, I already filed a complaint with Paack, but they don't have the money, and they don't have the package. I tried to file a complaint with Maersk, but they are even more opaque and inaccessible than you... I already spoke one day with a Maersk employee when it had been 3-4 days since the events happened, that is, they had just received the package here, in Madrid, Spain, but nothing, for half an hour she assured me that if it was already on its way back, there was no human way to stop the return, even if I showed up at any warehouse in the country to look for it...
So Cinthia, where, how and what kind of complaint can I make to request the refund of my money which, just asking, do you know where it is?
Best regards
