I was contacted on WhatsApp to do tasks in exchange for receiving a commission and then paying dollars to complete the task. Is that legit or is it a scam?

Thank you for your message. I’m sorry to hear that you have received this type of fraudulent WhatApp message and you did the right thing by letting us know what happened.

I would like to ask you if you can forward us the email, as we will be able to have more information if we review the message exactly as it was sent. Fake or spoofing emails appear to come from eBay, but are sent with the intention of obtaining your passwords and confidential information.

I ask that you send these messages and any website or application to spoof@ebay.com. We will confirm receipt of your email and investigate the matter. Thank you very much for your report.
