I recently bought an item for sale in Taiwan for $100 (item+shipping) but the seller doesn't cover import costs. I'd like to pay them in advance via Paypal to avoid a hold at customs (I'm from Chile) in case I don't have enough money when the product arrives in my country, because I also don't know how much they'll charge me and that uncertainty doesn't put me at ease. I don't know if Ebay can give me that option or if I should wait for the courier to tell me when I have to pay, since I can't chat with an online assistant and can only access the FAQ's I have no certainty about anything. The order was bought on April 1 and still hasn't shipped; according to the item description it's in five business days, and with the recent earthquake I fear the shipment will be postponed a couple more days.
