Hello
I’d like to confirm that your item has not been charged twice, and I’ll be happy to explain what’s happening. Normally, some banks temporarily hold funds when merchants first send the authorization request (when you make the payment on eBay and receive confirmation of your purchase) and, also, funds are sometimes held when payment for the first authorization request is processed later.
If you haven’t received a purchase confirmation email, this confirms that the transaction was not successful and eBay did not collect these funds; your financial institution needs them to process the payment (pre-authorization). Please note that in some cases it can even take a month to be removed from your account, but it will be removed from your bank statement without you having to take any action, since this is automatic.
In the event that the pre-authorization charge is not removed on its own, we suggest contacting your bank/financial institution so they can give you an estimated date for when that pre-authorization will be removed from your account.
I ask that you contact your bank and explain that we have verified that you never received a notification that the transaction was successful and that you need the pre-authorization charge removed from your bank statement.
Regards,
Cinthia
