INCREASE SHIPPING COSTS
Good evening, I made the purchase of a collectible figure in the U.S., I paid for the item and the shipping costs to Spain established by eBay according to the international shipping system rates. I asked the seller why she still had not shipped the item and she tells me the figure is bigger and heavier and that I must pay the additional $74 charges not included in the sale or in eBay’s automatic calculation. I want the item. But it seems unfair to me to have to pay more for a price that was pre-calculated, fixed, and paid. What should I do? Who should I turn to?

Hello
I understand your concern regarding the additional charges the seller is asking for after you have made the initial payment. Here are some steps you could follow to resolve this situation:
Review the listing details: Make sure the original listing for the item does not mention any additional cost that you had not considered. This includes checking the "Shipping costs" section to see if there is any note about additional charges.
Communication with the seller: Try reaching out to the seller again to clarify the situation. You can mention that you have already paid the total amount shown at the time of purchase and that you do not agree to pay more than what was initially agreed.
eBay buyer protection policy: If the seller insists on charging you more, you can open a case on eBay under the buyer protection policy after the estimated delivery date passes, or you can request cancellation and a refund. This will allow you to report the problem and look for a solution through the platform, and we will help you.
Remember that it is important to keep all communication through eBay so there is a record of the conversations in case you need to escalate the issue. Although we cannot force the seller to send the item, you can report it here.
I hope this information is helpful.
Best regards
Cinthia
