I paid for an item and it doesn't show that it's paid
Hello, I made an offer for a Garmin watch for 170 dollars, with shipping it came to 175 and the seller accepted it. The payment first failed and eBay notified me. Then I changed the card, it was charged but on eBay it doesn't show as paid.

Hello @no3018:
Thank you for your message. I’d like to confirm that your item has not been charged twice and I’ll be happy to explain what’s happening. Normally, some banks hold funds temporarily when merchants first send the authorization request (when you make the payment on eBay and receive confirmation of your purchase) and, also, the funds are sometimes held when the payment from the first authorization request is processed later. In your case, it can clearly be seen that it is a Pre-Authorization charge from your bank (Reserved Funds).
If you have not received a purchase confirmation email, this confirms that your financial institution needs to process the payment (pre-authorization). Please note that in some cases it can take up to a month to clear from your account, but it will be removed from your bank statement without you having to take any action, as this is automatic.
In the event that the pre-authorization charge is not removed on its own, we suggest contacting your bank/financial institution so they can give you an estimated date for when that pre-authorization will be removed from your account.
I understand that you have already contacted them, but it is standard for them to ask you to contact us and once you contact them again just explain that we have verified and you never received a notification that the transaction was successful and that you need the pre-authorization charge to be removed from your bank statement.
Best regards,
Cinthia
