Package delivered without being certified
Good morning, let’s see if you can help me since I’m a bit lost.
At the beginning of December I bought a phone on eBay from a seller with quite a good reputation and positive feedback. He ships the product and it goes through different countries, so the tracking numbers keep changing as it passes through different companies.
Eventually it reaches Spain and Correos receives it, who mark the package as delivered to me (it doesn’t fit in the mailbox) but I didn’t sign for delivery, since they tell me the shipment is mailbox deposit and not registered delivery.
The seller says he sent it.
The tracking shows delivered.
Correos says it was delivered and that they didn’t have to hand it to me in person.
I’ve already spoken with the seller and he tells me it was delivered and that he’s not responsible for anything, no matter how much I tell him it wasn’t sent registered.
Am I screwed, right?
Thanks, folks.

Hello,
We’re sorry to read what you’re saying.
If an order’s tracking information indicates that the package was delivered, if you were to open a claim, the seller would not be responsible, so that claim would be closed without a refund, in the event that you asked eBay for help.
In those cases, your best option would be to keep communicating with the seller to see whether they can help you open a claim with the shipping company in question
