Defective product
Hello, I bought a new part for my car and after paying for labor, a week later the part broke and stopped working. I contacted the seller and he wants me to send him a code that the part has. When I remove the part, it doesn't have a code, but I send him photos from different angles and request a refund. He rejects it and now he doesn't answer me. The product had a 2-year warranty. Ebay won't take responsibility because I requested the return a month after buying it. The seller told me when he knew the part was in bad condition that there was no problem and now he doesn't answer me. The part cost me 135 euros and the labor 150. I had to buy another part and spend the same money again, and I'm requesting a refund but he won't listen to me. I have the bad part saved, can someone help me. Thanks

OP1 year agoI've been saying since the first week that the part that was installed has problems. He told me he would refund my money and now that I’ve sent him photos of the faulty part, he doesn’t even reply. I feel deceived and scammed. And I don’t think this is going to be resolved because you just keep passing the buck from one to the other. You should take responsibility for the proper conduct of your suppliers.

Hello @antoniommm7
Thanks for your message. I understand that the part broke after it was installed in the car. On eBay, we greatly value protecting our users and strive to ensure that transactions are carried out satisfactorily. However, because we are an online trading platform, we cannot physically inspect items. For this reason, our customer guarantee program does not include insurance or brand warranties for products, especially if they stop working after some time. Some sellers offer warranties, which are usually indicated in the listing description and may require an additional payment.
It is important to keep in mind that, at times, sellers may take a while to respond due to a high volume of requests. We recommend trying to contact the seller again and hope that you receive a response. If the time limit to open a return request has passed (30 days after delivery) and the seller does not respond, we suggest contacting the manufacturer directly.
We hope this information clarifies our position, as we strive to ensure that our users can buy and sell with confidence. If you need any further clarification, we are here to help.
I hope this information is helpful. Thank you for your attention and for being part of our community.
Best regards
Cinthia
