Return
Hello, someone bought an item from me and the buyer told me it arrived broken. I told them to send it back to me, I sent the refund and the label so they could ship it to me. I’d like to know what happened with the return because it doesn’t show up in the tracking I’m doing, or is this fraud? Is he doing this? I already sent him a text and he hasn’t replied. Thanks for your help, my name is Edwin Ortez

Hello @edor8136,
Thank you for your message. I understand that you accepted the return request and that you sent the shipping label to the buyer, but if I understand your message correctly, you also sent the refund without having received the item. Is that correct?
Normally, eBay asks sellers never to issue the refund until they have received the item back and can inspect it. If the seller agrees with the condition of the item, they can issue the refund. In this way, eBay protects the seller from fraud or from an item that is not in the same condition as when it was sent, so it is possible that when you issued the refund before receiving the item, the buyer thought they did not have to return it.
I ask that in the future, you never refund the money without first receiving the item back. Contact us using our Social Media channels:

We will be happy to help you and I look forward to your message.
Best regards
