If you buy, the seller makes a mistake and you follow eBay's steps, you end up without any money and without the product
Yeah, that’s how it is. If you buy something, the vendor messes up and sends you something else, for example a stone, you file a claim following the steps eBay asks you to take, starting by contacting the seller first to sort out the problem, and the seller simply tells you not to worry that they’ll send you the correct product, then you’re screwed, since it depends on whether the seller actually sends the correct product again or just does nothing and forgets about it.
The eBay app doesn’t handle these cases well, by the way, quite common ones, and it mixes up the dates of the first delivery with the new delivery promised by the seller.
So, after paying, not receiving the correct product, trusting the seller and eBay, and letting several weeks go by for the new shipment.
Basically you can end up with no money and no product, and on top of that, if you get someone who’s pretty useless in eBay support, you end up pissed off too.
It’s sad to see how a platform that was a leader years ago is now a second- or third-rate platform, and on top of that it’s making efforts to lose the best customers it still has..

Hello,
We sincerely regret reading your comments, as at eBay we certainly place great importance on ensuring that our users can receive protection in situations where a seller sends an item that does not match the description in the listing.
To avoid situations like the ones you mention, although it is the buyer's decision to accept the seller making a new shipment, make sure to ask eBay for help within 30 days after opening the claim, so that we can intervene according to our Customer Guarantee Program.

OP2 years agoHello Alvaro,
Passing the responsibility onto the weak is clearly what you've just done.
IN an application where you can't find what you want, you go back to the menu you don't need, you can't find the alternative you want, and it doesn't give you the option for ebay to step in to make it right,... blaming the customer is something you do like mushrooms.
Well no, I'm already escalating the ineptitude I've seen to ebay corporation, and I suppose someone will feel it a bit in a few days, since unfortunately you have a way of doing things a little better, and you limit yourselves to giving sold items and covering the case just enough.
By the way, the customer support you have, probably from Colombia, has been ruled out by quite a few companies for some time now because of the ineptitude and loss of customers it brought with it. I hope you realize it soon before you disappear, because you're well on the way to that.
