Route request
Hello, I just bought an item and the seller asked me for my RUT (identity card identification number). Is it normal for them to ask for that information? Do you have to provide your RUT so the seller can ship the item?

Hello,
Please keep in mind that for users registered on eBay.com like you, we would always recommend using the eBay.com forums from this link and you can also receive assistance through the eBay.com help pages
From what you say, we advise you to check with your local Customs office, as they should be able to help you clarify the possible costs for international shipments in your country.
We suggest this because any import costs are the buyer's responsibility, and we would not have direct control, since it can vary depending on each country's Customs office.
We also recommend for the future that you read this guide carefully, where you will find useful information about international purchases.
