Incorrect tax invoice, the seller says it "must be spam"... What do I do?
I just checked my purchase from 2 days ago and in the invoice details the info appears correct (I bought a book from a UK seller) but on the "Tax Invoice" it shows the same date and my name and address with completely different information, which says "Albert Einstein ring", and "from Germany". I'm very worried about the fees and this false information!
The seller only tells me that everything is fine on his side, that it must be spam and that I should contact ebay because he doesn't know anything.
Has this happened to anyone else? 😱😱😱

Hello @anaysubebe
Thank you for your message, I understand your concern when seeing that the information is different. I want you to know that your purchases are protected by our eBay Customer Protection Guarantee and if the item you receive is not as described, we will protect you and you will receive a refund.
At eBay, we have protection to cover your purchase in situations like these. If the item you received does not match the description in the original listing or if it arrived damaged or defective. You can return it even if the seller's returns policy says they do not accept returns.
Below, I’ll tell you how to open the claim yourself so you can start the process to return the item and get a full refund once the seller receives the item back.
You can open the case here, this will alert the seller so they can begin the return process. The seller must pay the return shipping cost and we always recommend having a friendly conversation between the seller and you so that the issue can be resolved in the best possible way.
You can agree on whether you want them to send you the correct item or whether you prefer a refund. It is rare for sellers to ignore your help request, but if you do not receive a response after a few days, you can request eBay's help if you go into the case from your account and click the option "Request eBay Help". You must ask us for help before 30 days have passed after the case is opened or we will not be able to help you after this time, so it is important to keep an eye on the dates.
I trust this information is helpful.
Best regards
Cinthia
