Seller violating eBay policies
Hello, I’m hoping someone can help me.
I bought a product advertised as being the original brand and they are sending me a fake copy. The seller, regarding the return, says they do not provide a return label and keeps insisting that I change the reason for the return. On eBay’s returns page it clearly states "the seller is responsible for the return shipping costs, so you can ask them for a return label"
In addition to the above, the email I received specifies one return address, and the eBay message shows a different address.
Based on the above, to sum up:
- They are selling fake products as if they were original
- They are trying to get me to change my return reason and rating
- They do not want to provide a return label
- Different return addresses are listed
Clearly this seller is violating several eBay policies
I’m trying to request help from eBay, but in the order details I can’t find any way to contact eBay to explain the case, nor any way to ask for help
Let’s see if you can give me some guidance on what to do
Thanks.

Hello,
We’re sorry to read what you’re saying.
The eBay Customer Guarantee offers protection if you have received an item in conditions different from what was stated in the listing, or as in your case, if you received one unit instead of 2, as described in the listing you mention. If this is the case, you can open a return request, within 30 days after the date on which you received the said order.
Make sure that the reason for the return is "item different from the listing description" so that the seller can offer you a solution, from offering you a partial refund if you wish, to arranging the return of the item, covering the costs of it.
Once you do so, you will have the option, if the seller does not offer you a solution within 3 business days, to ask eBay to step in by selecting the 'Ask eBay to help' option once it is available, and under no circumstances close the request until the seller has offered you a solution that you agree with.
