The seller doesn't give me an invoice.
Hello, community:
A German seller (I'm Spanish) tells me he can't issue me an invoice because the sale was private. Is that correct? Can I insist that he issue me an invoice so I can justify the expense?
Thank you very much.

Hello
Thank you for your message, I’ll be happy to help you. When you make a purchase on eBay and it is verified that the payment has been sent, eBay sends you an invoice directly to your email address, which at the same time serves as an order confirmation.
If this is not enough, you can request an invoice only from professional sellers and they will issue the invoices in accordance with the laws and taxes of the country where they are registered and not the country of their buyers, so the first thing you’ll need to do is contact the seller to see if they can issue the required invoice.
If the purchase was made from a private seller/private individual, they will not be able to issue an invoice, since they are not registered as a company, and this is where the email that eBay sent you at the moment you completed the payment may be useful, as it contains all the details to serve as an invoice, in case you want to make the item’s warranty valid directly with the manufacturer.
You can look for the confirmation email that eBay sent you and use it for whatever purposes are necessary. I hope this information clears up your question.
I send you kind regards.
Cinthia
