The buyer is telling me that the item hasn’t arrived and that the tracking shows it was returned
Then he tells me he wants to change the address because it was wrong
I have the postal receipt where it says that I sent the item and the date
what should I do?
this smells like a scam to me

If so, then you check the tracking and it will tell you whether the item has been returned.
If you sent it by regular mail, without a tracking number, and the only thing you have is a postal receipt that’s like a supermarket receipt, it doesn’t serve to prove that you sent it, or to which address, so in this case if the buyer opens a claim for item not received you won’t be able to prove that it was delivered and they’ll get their money back.
you should always send it with tracking number, and for low-value items you have to keep in mind that you’re going to lose a percentage of them.
As for changing the address now, you can’t do that once the item has been sent.
