Purchase with surprise charge
Hello. I made a purchase on eBay from a supposedly UK seller. The product came from China. I received a registered letter from customs telling me to send an invoice, ID, proof of payment, etc… I complete the process through customs and everything is fine up to that point. Then I receive a quote for document processing of €30. The issue is that I either pay that money, which I do not agree with at all because at no point was it mentioned that there would be a fee for the process. After talking with customs, the seller, and the post office, it turns out that either I pay that quote or I do not receive my product. And if not, they send it back to its origin and do not refund my money. Has this happened to anyone?. The worst part is that I feel scammed and nobody is offering a solution.

·2 years agoNo one has scammed you, simply knowing the customs fees, if there are any like in this case, is solely your responsibility, neither eBay nor the seller have to know anything.
