Huawei, a restricted word on eBay?
Hi, hello, some Chinese sellers who sell phones as HW instead of putting Huawei tell me that on some eBay sites they are prohibited from using that word. Could it be because of eBay USA?.
They even erase the word from the product photos, but is that restriction really a thing?.
Other Chinese sellers, however, do list the item as "Huawei".
I don't know if anyone has information about this, I appreciate your help.
Best regards.

OP11 months agoIt seems that this listing is posted on eBay USA and there the Huawei brand is prohibited.
The shipments are from China, but they have it posted on the eBay USA site. One way to check it is to see that the price is in dollars, even though I am in Spain. There are other listings of the same smartphone whose prices are in Australian dollars or British pounds, since they are apparently posted on the eBay sites of Australia and the United Kingdom respectively, although all of them are shipped from Shenzhen, China.
Simply the sellers have posted it on an eBay site different from their location, at least that is the conclusion I have reached.
I tried myself to list a Huawei on eBay USA, and at the end of the process the info about a prohibited item appears, long live freedom! (I attach a screenshot of this).
So I am answering myself since there has been no response from the eBay community. I hope it can be useful to more people.
