Dear fellow sellers, we are on the brink of domination by the Tax Agency and we have to act by asking eBay for a few things and, if possible, asking the Tax Agency for others: 1- ask eBay to subtract from that annual sales totalization the shipping costs as well as its commissions.2- They should create a FIELD in their database (private) "ITEM COST", so that each seller enters the cost of their item and, when eBay goes to add up the ANNUAL TOTAL SALES, it subtracts from the sales amount to be totaled: THE ITEM COST, THE DECLARED SHIPPING COSTS and ITS COMMISSIONS. This is essential; otherwise, they will send the Tax Agency a TOTALLY UNREAL sales totalization, our earnings to be audited (and from 2001 euros onward that is already the 19% to be declared, gentlemen). To Caesar what is Caesar's... but the truth...... since if these things are not deducted, reaching 2,000 euros will be very quick and we will pay for what we have not earned. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS, BECAUSE THE FINES FOR NOT DECLARING OR DOING IT WRONG ARE 1,500 euros For the Tax Agency: Gentlemen, wouldn't it be better for the Tax Agency, for the Country and for us to be calm even if we pay more commissions... THAT THEY CHARGE US 2 or 3% ON EACH SALE...... AND THAT'S IT... WE RAISE PRICES A LITTLE AND WITHOUT WORRIES....... AREN'T WE ALREADY DOING THAT WITH "SPONSORED" ads, IF IT WERE FOR ME, SOMETIMES THEY END UP TAKING EVEN 26%, WHEN ALL IS LOST, THROW IT IN THE RIVER.... BUT BEING CALM AND WITHOUT THE SWORD OF DAMOCLES HANGING OVER US, FROM THE POSSIBLE FINE... TO LIVE CALMLY, WE PAY FROM THE FIRST SALE THAT EXTRA 2 or 3% ...... THE TAX AGENCY and THE COUNTRY WILL WIN MORE...... AND WE WILL BE MUCH CALMER WITHOUT HAVING TO BE CONSTANTLY DOING SUMS AND SUMS........ GENTLEMEN, THEY ALREADY DO THIS WHEN WE BUY SOMETHING FROM THE U.K. or the USA, eBay charges a percentage to later pay it to the corresponding TAX AUTHORITIES for being outside the EEC, all much cleaner and without worries for British and American sellers. BUT FOR THE TAX AGENCY OFFICIALS, THOSE MINDS THAT SEEM TO THINK OF NOTHING ELSE BUT THE WORST...... TO REACT, WE HAVE TO FLOOD THEIR MAILBOXES WITH THIS PROPOSAL... IF THEY ACCEPT.... THERE WILL BE NO NEED FOR THE "ITEM COST" FIELD OR ANYTHING AT ALL..... WE WILL PAY AN ADDITIONAL % ON TOP OF WHAT WE PAY NOW...... BUT WE WILL BE FREE FROM THREATS, FINES and TENSION. THINK ABOUT IT CAREFULLY............ IF THIS MEASURE SEEMS BETTER TO YOU........ THAT THE TAX AGENCY CHARGES A PERCENTAGE ON EACH SALE.... THEY ALREADY DO IT WHEN A USED CAR IS SOLD, TAKING 4% OF ITS VALUE....... WELL, SOMETHING SIMILAR FOR OUR SALES ...... BETTER IF IT STAYS AT 2%.... BUT I THINK THIS WOULD BE THE BEST THING, FELLOW SELLERS.... IF YOU AGREE WITH MY POSITION OF ASSUMING THAT % ON SALES AND THAT'S IT....... START SENDING THE TAX AGENCY, THROUGH ALL KNOWN CHANNELS, MESSAGES PROPOSING THIS % MEASURE..................... IF YOU PREFER THE ONE UP TO 2,000 euros..... WE MUST DEMAND THAT EBAY PUT A FIELD IN ITS DATABASE ---> "ITEM COST" AND THAT IT SUBTRACT IT FROM THE ANNUAL SALES ACCUMULATION. BEST REGARDS TO ALL.
