Manipulated Auctions
I’m writing this here because I don’t know where else to turn and I’d like someone from eBay to answer me if this is legal. This has never happened to me on eBay because if it had, I wouldn’t be here writing this. On Sunday I won 3 auctions on a platform, the auction closed and the items were paid for. On Monday I see that the platform canceled the 3 shipments and put the items back up for auction; their claim is that the last minutes of the auctions had technical problems and that many bidders were unable to bid. But the new auction is for 48 hours, not 5 minutes, so of course for ethical reasons I refuse to keep bidding on an item I had already won. 1 seller had already sent the item I had won, so it showed as canceled but with tracking and I received it today. I’ve been looking into it and apparently this is not the first time this platform has manipulated the auctions on its website in such an outrageous way. I’d like to know if this is legal and how I can proceed. thanks
