Combined shipping costs
Hello, I want to buy several items from the same seller and it won't let me request combined shipping costs...I've spoken with eBay customer service and they don't give me any solution...they tell me to contact the seller... and when I contact them they tell me everything is fine, that they have combined shipping costs enabled... and that's not the case...
So, I'll stop buying on eBay...because I refuse to pay 30 euros in shipping costs instead of 4 euros.
Is this happening to anyone else? thanks, regards

·1 year agoHi, speaking as a seller. Someone contacts me to buy several things I have for sale, but the option doesn’t appear for them when they go to the basket, to ask me for combined shipping costs. It’s frustrating because I have it configured so that I do accept that option, but then when it comes down to it, buyers aren’t enabled to ask me for the invoice with consolidated shipping costs. I sell just enough on eBay because the shipping issue is a headache for me. Can someone tell me what that 3, 5, 7, 14 or 30 days thing is? I really can’t make sense of this “combined payment period.” I can’t see the point of it. Is it relevant? I set 30, just in case...

·2 years agoHello : I’ve been seeing this problem for a while now and it’s getting worse. Especially with the “buy it now” items, because in many cases you have to buy everything, pay each item’s respective shipping costs individually, and wait for the seller to refund what corresponds. In many cases it won’t let you request the total, or it tells you that the seller no longer offers that service, when that’s false in many cases because there are sellers who specify it. Well, this happened to me last week: one seller refunded part of the shipping costs and another didn’t, even though the latter told me that he did combined shipping. Several years ago I had the same problem with a seller and, logically, I voted him as shipping too expensive. I’ve been complaining about this to eBay for years and they couldn’t care less. And in the end this hurts both the seller and the buyer. I’m not going to be fighting with anyone or sending messages waiting for them to refund me 5, 10 or 20 euros....etc. and I also don’t think the seller wants people to rate them neutral or negative because they messed up balancing the shipping costs. And I also suppose it’s a pain for the seller to have to deal every other day with users’ emails and see whether or not they should refund something on certain shipments. This needs to be more agile and automatic. The thing is that some time ago I do remember that in certain products it does work to request several, and the shipping either doesn’t go up or goes up only a little. Even the other day I looked at buying two identical items from the same page, I mean when x identical items are listed on the same page, and it did charge only one shipping fee when buying two units. In short, if this isn’t fixed, every day I’ll be less willing to buy several items from the same seller unless I’m really convinced; I’m not going to be fighting with anyone because the total seems excessive to me. And if it doesn’t convince me, I cancel the purchase and that’s it. I’ve already canceled some and others I’ve been close to. Specifically, the most striking case was the purchase of 4 small items, in auction, and the seller wanted to charge me about 75 euros for international shipping. I told him no, that that was outrageous; he replied that it had been a mistake and it came out to almost 30, which was more or less reasonable. But that can’t be, that you buy something and in the end you don’t know how much it’s going to cost you, what’s going to arrive and how. The clearer things are, the better, and even so there would still be some inconvenience

·3 years agoHello, I’m speaking as a private seller affected by the issue of not being able to make combined shipments. According to Ebay, I have everything enabled correctly. I have buyers from several countries: France, Spain, Brazil, Italy, Poland, and a few more who are not given the option to request the total from the seller and can’t buy unless it’s individually.
Two possible solutions: one, that the buyer does it from a desktop computer and not from a mobile phone, since they don’t have the same functions; and another solution is to have in the shopping cart the lots they are going to buy from a single seller. They can’t have lots from different sellers in the shopping cart and then request the total from the seller.
I’ve been told it’s a global problem and that they are working on it to solve it as soon as possible, but I’ve been dealing with this problem for more than a month and have complained on more than 4 occasions, and it seems I’m going to keep doing it more times because they still can’t request the total of the purchase.
