New on eBay: shipping, which one should I choose?

Good morning everyone, as I mentioned in the title, I’ve just started as a seller on eBay and I have questions that may seem a bit basic but that I can’t quite understand properly.
I’d like to ship both domestically and internationally. For domestic shipping, I’ve set free shipping with insurance and tracking. There’s also the option for the buyer to take care of the shipping costs. In international shipping, there is no option for free shipping. My question is this: my product weighs less than 1 kg, so I can’t send it in envelopes. For packages, when the buyer pays for shipping, it gives me a price range, as you can see in the photo. How do I calculate what the correct shipping price is?

·4 months agoReally, you can’t. Even if you use postal services, shipping comparators, or the like, they go by geographic zones. With the post, it’s going to be more expensive if you send something to Japan than to France. With private companies, it might be a bit cheaper to Italy than to Hungary.
The problem with this is that if people from different countries buy from you and you set a fixed price, in the end you’re going to have to cover part of the shipping cost of the item itself if you get someone from a country where shipping is more expensive. You can always mark up the shipping costs from the start. But then maybe you won’t sell anything either. Another possibility is to add exclusions for certain countries where international shipping gets crazy expensive.
In Spain, we’re not competitive when it comes to international shipping. For cheap products, the buyer may end up paying more for shipping than for the product itself. Even the post office at the counter is a rip-off for what they charge for domestic shipping.
