Re-log Dubai DHL customs
Hello
I bought a watch from a very highly rated seller and DHL has sent me an email authorizing them for customs clearance. We're talking about 220 euros.
Could you tell me if this is a process that's going to cause me problems and what additional cost it will have?.
It’s to Spain. Thanks.

Hello, @fraprete_0. Thank you for your message.
I'm not very sure what you're referring to, but normally, when an item comes from outside the European Union, import/customs fees are most likely to apply to your order due to local and European laws and regulations. If these fees are not paid, customs may not release the order and return it to the sender, which would be the seller, and in cases like that the seller would be protected, since import/customs fees are the buyer's responsibility. I hope this is what you meant, and that it clarifies your question.
Regards,
Marco.

OP2 years agoMany thanks. In the end I did pay an extra customs charge, but watch out for DHL because they slip in an additional cost that is really their fee, but it’s all disguised under the concept of FEE/TAX/CUSTOMS and they never once mention handling fee or commission, which is what it is. The seller was very kind and covered this DHL shakedown
