Seller cancels on their own initiative (and without consulting)
Hi everyone;
It’s been a long time since I wrote here, but my eBay purchases go in phases, and lately I’ve been buying quite a bit, and of course, the more the merrier — the sooner you come here asking for help...
Here’s the story: around mid-March, I bought a lure from the U.S., paid for it, and then I went on a trip for about a week. When I got back, I had a message from the seller saying they had to cancel it because they couldn’t find it. They were going to be away for a few days and would send it once they found it. The item disappears from my purchase list and there’s a message from eBay saying the transaction couldn’t be canceled because there was a problem with the refund (I assume the problem is that there was no refund) and that I should wait until the estimated arrival date for the item (end of May), and if it doesn’t arrive, file a claim.
I’ve sent the seller two messages, one of them threatening to open a case, which obviously they haven’t replied to. (In one I asked whether they were going to send the item or issue a refund, and in the other I asked for the tracking number or to open a case)
What do you think? What should I do? I can’t open a case because the item isn’t in my purchase list anymore, I also can’t leave negative feedback, for the same reason, and of course I haven’t received the refund.
Thanks in advance, everyone.
Regards.
