Are payments withheld until receipt of follow-up or vote is confirmed?
Hi, well, it seems to me that now the payment no longer goes directly to the account before payment; is it true that the payment from a sale is held until the receipt of the item shipped by the company is confirmed or it is voted on?? It seems like a very bad method and unfavorable for sellers, meaning you front the item and the shipping. What do you think about this because in my case I think that, as much as it pains me, I’m going to sell somewhere else😔

·3 years agoFor that reason I’ve practically stopped selling anything on Ebay, and I only buy the bare minimum. There are many more buying and selling platforms that are much cheaper and have offers that are more than acceptable (if you know your way around online buying and selling, because there are a lot of crooks), maybe not as broad, but looking at the drawbacks, delays, fees, the lousy, expensive and slow global shipping program of Pitney Bowes etc, it’s all so messed up that, adding in some sellers’ and buyers’ cheek, it ends up discouraging the use of Ebay.
It’s a shame because back in the day you could still do something interesting. but not anymore.

·3 years agoThe same thing has happened to me with 2 items, one of them said that the latest date to release the funds would be January 26.
The shipment was delivered today, the 13th, but instead of the money being released I find this: "Thank you for sending the order and uploading the tracking information. Unfortunately, we have not been able to confirm delivery because the tracking postal code does not match the delivery address postal code. The funds will be released on Feb 3, as long as the buyer has no issues with the order."
How does it not match? I copied and pasted the address, and more than that, I have a photo of the package where the address can be seen and it is the correct one.
So not only do they not give me my money, but on top of that they push back the release date? What is this? This has never happened to me before. I don't understand anything..... But one thing is clear to me: next time there's a hold, I won't ship it, let the buyer go without the money for a while until they give it back.

·4 years agoWell, what can I say, mate. With what they charge monthly + commissions + losses + (what’s still to come), you could pay for a very good website, an SEO plugin, and a looooot of advertising on Google. I don’t know the exact reason; it was already discussed in another thread, but it’s as if eBay doesn’t want to or isn’t interested in selling in Spain (maybe it’ll be expanded to Europe) and is only trying to find a way for us to be the ones who give up. If that’s the case, they’re on the right track.

·5 months agoThey’re abusing it, they delete ads without justification, they won’t let you appeal or they reply with a copy-paste message...if they treat sellers like this, they should think about what they’d do without them.
