Ebay, the worst sales and auction platform I know.
Ebay's policy is simple. Someone offers an item, you pay, and God knows what happens next. That said, they take their cut upfront. After that, you patiently wait for the seller to be honest, but heaven help you if they aren't. If any problem comes up: the package doesn't arrive, it arrives in bad condition, or it's not what you ordered, and you file a claim, then you're going to meet the real Ebay. You're already a nuisance, they send you a string of emails telling you to wait until a certain date and that when it comes you can file again. They've got your money, they take their commission, and off you go to complain to the bogeyman. They close the process saying the seller gave an explanation that is valid for them, but they don't show it to you, leaving you stranded to start a claim against the seller on your own. That's the end of the story, Ebay has collected the corresponding fees, which is the only thing they care about. If they had investigated or had sided with you, there would have been **bleep** in collecting the fee; at best, if they had refunded your payment, they wouldn't have charged anything. Plain and simple.
