I've bought what the seller doesn't have and isn't going to have either...
Hello, I bought a bundle of a motorcycle top case + the top case base + motorcycle mounts, from a reputable seller with a history almost as long as mine and thousands of positive votes. It’s three items in a single purchase.
It turns out that two days later, the seller contacts me on WhatsApp, which at first already gives me a bad feeling because the proper thing is to do it via eBay messaging.
He tells me that the mounts are discontinued and it’s not possible to supply them, not today or ever. To which I reply that then fine, cancel the sale and we’re all happy. A top case is no use to me if I can’t mount it on the bike.
From there on, every day he comes up with all kinds of nonsense starting with “valued customer”, and that if the refund was going to be this weekend, then that I should give him the purchase number.. they don’t even know it.
The most incredible thing is that yesterday they told me the refund had already been done, which as of today is a lie.
One of the WhatsApp phrases they keep repeating is that “we accept your cancellation request”, how so?, it’s the one who doesn’t comply and is deceiving, he’s selling smoke and can’t ship it
What really gets my blood boiling is the scam and the fact that the seller still has dozens of listings with the item that can no longer be found anywhere. In fact I know it’s extremely hard to find, and that was the reason I decided to buy from him. In the 19 years I’ve been on eBay, I had never come across this. He’s got €400 in his pocket and missing from my account.

Hello, @soilengreen. Thanks for your message.
The best thing is to report the seller for contacting you outside of eBay. Then I suggest opening an item not received case once your estimated delivery date has passed so you can get your money back.
Make sure not to let more than 30 days go by from when the estimated delivery date passes, since after that period, which is the protection period, we wouldn’t be able to take any further action.
Best regards,
Marco.

·3 years agoI sold a mobile phone to Italy a few months ago and I'm worried they may have been able to extract data I thought had been wiped. I'd feel a lot more at ease if you could confirm that it has nothing to do with me. Thanks.....
