I got scammed when buying Gran Turismo 7 for PS5
I tried to buy Gran Turismo 7 for PS5 and the seller tells me he didn't receive the €50, I opened a case and accidentally closed it, now I have no way to contact eBay for a refund. It's a loop, you always end up in the same place. Is there any phone number or WhatsApp to get in touch? Sellers have impunity to scam you, and it's not just because of the €50 amount, (which it is too). Can someone help me a little.

Hello @snchejuajua,
Thanks for your message. I can see that you haven’t received your item and the estimated delivery date has passed. When this happens, the seller has the transaction funds on hold, and that may be why the seller has told you they still haven’t received them. Normally, the funds are released once the tracking number linked to the transaction shows delivery at the address you provided when paying for your order.
Since you haven’t received the item, I understand that you opened a case in our Resolution Center, but unfortunately you closed it voluntarily. When this happens, I’m afraid it’s no longer possible to reopen a case that was closed voluntarily, as that’s not an action we can take.
I recommend looking into options to open a dispute outside of eBay so you can receive a refund, or checking the tracking number to see if the carrier needs any extra information in order to complete delivery of your item to your address.
I hope this information helps.
Regards
Cinthia

OP2 years agoNo need to stress, for 50 euros it’s not worth it; the trips to the consumer office would cost me more than those 50 euros, but the bad publicity I’ll do with every person I know will be brutal, you won’t be getting any of my business. What a solution.

·2 years agoThey are eBay employees, trying to fill the gap left by the Mentors, who haven’t appeared around here for years. If you had posted this in User Help, no one except them would have been able to reply to you.
It’s been a while since they laid off the group they had in Spain and shut down the support phone line they had; now they only take calls from outside the EU, and in English.
That said, when you search for products in the EU, England still shows up, and they “forget” that they’re already gone and now you have to pay customs.

·2 years agoNowadays the seller doesn't receive the money directly; it goes through eBay for a few days, and some of these sellers don't want to ship unless they see the cash in their account.

·2 years agoLet’s see, you have inadvertently closed the incident, and it turns out that sellers have impunity to scam you.
There’s something that makes you want to slap some sense into it.🤔
