New tariffs and customs policy in the U.S.
Dear seller:
From April 3, 2025, U.S. buyers will have to pay additional tariffs on orders over USD 800 and may need to provide personal information for customs clearance.
Due to the processing of shipments at U.S. customs, deliveries may be delayed. However, eBay will continue to adjust the estimated delivery dates to ensure an accurate delivery estimate for our buyers.
As a general rule, once the buyer has completed their purchase on eBay, shipping companies usually take charge of collecting buyers' personal data, as well as collecting the amount of customs duties and tariffs. These charges will not appear in the prices shown to buyers.
We will take steps to protect our sellers as they adapt to these new tariffs and requirements, such as adjusting the late shipment rates —when tracking information shows they are due to shipping delays— and removing associated defects. We will also remove negative feedback related to tariffs.
We will provide more information as we learn more about the impact of these changes on Spanish sellers.
Thank you for being part of the eBay community.
