I created an eBay account and as I live in Spain the site automatically changes everything into Spanish it wouldent let me have it in English as it seems to be one of these 'inteligent sits' that we all love :-(,
Is there no way i can have Spain as my contry and English as my language like other sites do?
that's impossible. If you are selling your stuff in spain you should speak spanish, 'cos if some buyer has a question or wants more information is a "percal" (typical spanish expession). Jeje. See you!
Eso, less sangria and paella and more aprending languages!
No, you cant 😞
You could try this: change your registration address to an UK one, then change your registration site to eBay.co.uk, and then change your primary shipping address to your spanish address (and if you sell, dont forget to say "item location: spain" in the listing field)
This way most of the automatic notifications will be in english.
You will still be able to login directly in the spanish site to buy and sell - everything would be in spanish though.
But! As you are now living in spain, take the opportunity to practice the language! 🙂 Dont get stuck in english-speaking "ghettos" and going out only to have lunch and pints in english pubs! ->spanish food is tastier and the beer is cheaper 😉 😉
